We use WILL for: 

1)  Predictions, especially after I (don't) think…. I think he'll become a lawyer. 

2) Offers and promises will for I'll carry your bags. / I won't reveal your secret 

3) Instant decisions I'm thirsty. Oh, I'll bring you a glass of water. 

We use going to for:

1) Predictions, especially when they're based on what we can see Look at that girl. She's going to cry. 

2) For intentions I'm going to visit my granny next weekend.

We are going to visit the National Museum in San Borja and we are going to have lunch in Chosica. We are going to stay at "Los Delfines" Hotel in San Isidro; then we are going travel to Chiclayo on June 24th and we are going to visit the "Señor de Sipan" museum. We aren't going to travel to Trujillo because of problems of time but maybe next opportunity. We are also going to buy some souvenirs; we want to remember Peru for the rest of our lives.
